I've been using kratom a decade. My current dose is around 1.5-4g a day. I've actually cut down my dose over the years as my tea making technique has changed. 2g is the usual, but I'll have 3-4g if I need extra pain relief (I reserve 4 for when I really NEED it, such as a migraine or poor sleep). I would say start low at about 2g until you find your sweet spot. 50g should last you a couple of weeks at least.
